YHA Malham, located in Skipton, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to support the Hostel Manager. This is a permanent, flexible contract with a minimum of 25 hours per week at a rate of £13.63 per hour. Staff accommodation is available at a rate of £74.62 per week.
As a Kitchen Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day management of the hostel, creating a great environment for both staff and guests.

Responsibilities:
- Managing the food and beverage operation within your hostel
- Leading the preparation and delivery of food to agreed YHA standards
- Carrying out cleaning duties predominantly within our kitchen and food and beverage service areas
- Minimising food and beverage waste
- Maximising food and beverage profits
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in hospitality, including the management and delivery of a quality service
- Experience of food and beverage best practice
- City & Guilds 706/1&2, NVQ4 or equivalent level of experience, Food Safety Level 2 Certificate qualifications
- Working knowledge of allergens and health and safety compliance requirements
- Excellent numeracy skills, experience of stock control and waste principles to maximise profit
- Experience of managing a team, providing guidance to team members
- Ability to manage varying pressures and prioritise workload
- Basic IT skills (ideally Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge and understanding of the core purpose of YHA
- Demonstration of YHA's HEART values
