Our medium‑size site offers indoor accommodation and popular glamping options, set within 9 acres of wildlife‑rich woodland near Windermere and Ambleside.

Working on reception, offering insights about the hostel and local area, ensuring every guest feels informed and welcomed.
Using our systems for efficient guest check‑ins and check‑outs, food and beverage sales and service.
Carrying out housekeeping duties, ensuring a comfortable, clean environment for all visitors.
Assisting in the preparation and serving of food and drinks with genuine warmth and hospitality, contributing to higher sales.
What skills and experience you need Experience of face‑to‑face customer service.
Experience working in a team – able to help others achieve a common goal.
Excellent timekeeping, punctuality and flexibility to cover different shifts.
Ability to manage varying pressures, prioritize tasks and deal with conflicting duties.
Knowledge and understanding of YHA’s core purpose.
Demonstration of YHA’s HEART values in everyday work.
