We are looking for an ambitious scientist to join our q PCR R&D team as a hands on Research Scientist I.
The successful candidate will help develop, test and optimise new q PCR products and technologies.
This role is crucial to ensure You Seq products represent best in class molecular diagnostics.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph D or 1-3 years of laboratory experience and an understanding of PCR.
They must have hands on experience with molecular biology techniques, including PCR testing.
Important traits are to be ambitious, motivated, a critical thinker and to thrive in a collaborative team.
The role
- Daily planning, conducting & analysing real-time PCR experiments
- Balancing different investigation streams, to support delivery of R&D projects i. e. new q PCR products/optimisations
- Cross departmental communication to support Operations & Commercial teams
- Providing our customers with scientific technical support
- Working within ISO13485 requirements & systems
- A Ph D or 1-3 years in molecular biology lab setting
- A minimum of 1 years industry experience within a biotech company
- Knowledge of q PCR and hands on experience in PCR testing
- Excellent organisational & interpersonal skills
- Experience of working in ISO13485 manufacturing environment
- Experience of developing multiplex q PCR technologies
