Are you passionate about making pets a priority? Here at CVS, so are we! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Your Vets Rayleigh.

Location: Greensward House, 12 Brook Road, Rayleigh SS6 7UR

Contract: 1 year fixed term.

Hours: 23 hours. Shift Pattern: 5 hour shifts working across 4 days, shift can be anytime between 7.30am - 9.00pm. 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.30am - 5pm, which would be a paid 8 hour shift with an additional 30 min no paid break.

About the role

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • Providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we’re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
