As a Joiner at YourRetreats, you will play a hands-on role in crafting our premium, tailor-made lodges from the ground up. Working with a variety of high-quality materials, you will be involved in everything from structural timber frameworks to detailed interior finishes, including flooring, partitioning, cladding, and bespoke fittings. This is a workshop-based role where precision, care, and pride in your work are key. You will collaborate closely with a skilled team to ensure every lodge meets our exacting standards of luxury and craftsmanship—delivering outstanding spaces our clients can truly escape to.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, such as doors, frames, floors, and ceilings
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials accurately based on project requirements
  • Install cabinets and counters, repair furniture, and assemble prefabricated structures
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure items are built to specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, both on-site and off-site
  • Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and in safe working condition

Requirements

  • Experience in the construction industry as a Joiner
  • Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, plastic, and other materials
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Health and safety awareness and compliance, including working at heights and using power tools safely
