We are looking for an experienced Site Manager / Build Manager to join our fast-growing modular construction company specialising in high-end holiday lodges and luxury modular buildings. This is not a traditional factory production role. We are looking for someone with real construction knowledge who understands how buildings go together, can manage multiple trades, drive programmes forward, solve problems quickly, and deliver projects to strict deadlines without compromising quality.

You will take ownership of live builds from start to finish, ensuring every build leaves the factory to a high standard and on schedule. This role would suit someone from a housebuilding, fit‐out, joinery, modular construction, or fast‐paced construction management background.

Requirements

  • Manage multiple live modular builds simultaneously
  • Coordinate and manage all trades within the build process
  • Drive projects to strict completion dates and production deadlines
  • Read and interpret technical and construction drawings across all trades
  • Ensure all works are completed to specification and required quality standards
  • Identify and resolve daily construction and production challenges quickly
  • Maintain build schedules and keep trades accountable
  • Carry out quality inspections and snagging throughout the build process
  • Ensure materials, labour, and work areas are organised efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with directors, supervisors, subcontractors, and workshop teams
  • Continuously improve systems, workflows, and build efficiency

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager, Build Manager, Construction Manager, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
  • Experience managing multiple trades including: Joiners, Electricians, Plumbers, Decorators, Tilers
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‐paced environment
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem‐solving ability and decision making
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Ability to push projects forward and hit deadlines consistently

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within modular construction or offsite manufacturing
  • Joinery or trade background
  • Experience managing luxury residential or hospitality projects
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and snagging systems
  • Experience using project management or scheduling software
