As a Joiner at YourRetreats, you will play a hands‑on role in crafting our premium, tailor‑made lodges from the ground up. Working with a variety of high‑quality materials, you will be involved in everything from structural timber frameworks to detailed interior finishes, including flooring, partitioning, cladding, and bespoke fittings. This workshop‑based role requires precision, care, and pride in your work. You will collaborate closely with a skilled team to ensure every lodge meets our exacting standards of luxury and craftsmanship, delivering outstanding spaces our clients can truly escape to.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, such as doors, frames, floors, and ceilings.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials accurately based on project requirements.
- Install cabinets and counters, repair furniture, and assemble prefabricated structures.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure items are built to specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, both on‑site and off‑site.
- Ensure tools and equipment are well‑maintained and in safe working condition.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in the construction industry as a Joiner.
- Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Health and safety awareness and compliance, including working at heights and using power tools safely.
