As an Electrician at Your Retreats Limited, you will be responsible for all aspects of electrical work involved in the design, construction, and manufacturing of our premium lodges. Your role will include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems within the lodges, ensuring they meet high safety standards, energy efficiency goals, and modern electrical requirements.
You will be integral to the installation of lighting, outlets, heating and cooling systems, and appliances. Working closely with our design and construction teams, you'll ensure that the electrical systems are seamlessly incorporated into the lodge design. You will also maintain the manufacturing facility’s electrical equipment and ensure compliance with local electrical codes and regulations. Your work will directly contribute to the functionality, safety, and energy efficiency of the lodges.
The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, as well as collaboration with other team members to meet production deadlines and deliver high-quality lodges.
- Education: High school diploma and completion of electrical apprenticeship/vocational training.
- Certification: Valid electrical license or certification as per local regulations, including City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, AM2 assessment. Ideally: JIB Gold Card holder.
- Electrical Inspection and Testing: Preferred qualification or experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an electrician, preferably in residential, commercial, or manufacturing environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems (wiring, lighting, outlets).
- Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for electrical faults.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in installations and compliance with safety standards.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of electrical safety protocols and adherence to codes.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, working in confined spaces).
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Collaboration: Experience working closely with teams (designers, engineers, property managers).
