We are recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker to join a children's residential home in South East London. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people during the night, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and emotional support within a nurturing residential environment.
The Role
- Providing overnight support to children and young people
- Promoting a safe, calm and secure home environment
- Completing welfare checks and recording observations
- Maintaining accurate records and handovers
- Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Administering medication where required
- Responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Working closely with the wider residential care team
About You
- Experience working with children and young people is desirable
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Reliable, compassionate and resilient
- Strong communication and recording skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
