Salary: Up to £33,000

40 Hours Per Week - Permanent

Shifts: 10:00pm - 8:00am on a rota basis

We are recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker to join a children's residential home in South East London. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people during the night, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and emotional support within a nurturing residential environment.

The Role

  • Providing overnight support to children and young people
  • Promoting a safe, calm and secure home environment
  • Completing welfare checks and recording observations
  • Maintaining accurate records and handovers
  • Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Administering medication where required
  • Responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies
  • Working closely with the wider residential care team

About You

  • Experience working with children and young people is desirable
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Reliable, compassionate and resilient
  • Strong communication and recording skills
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts
