Temporary Transition Co-ordinator
Location: Redhill (occasional travel to South Croydon)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 5:00pm, Term-Time Only
Salary: £15.00 – £20.00 per hour DOE

About the Role:
Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about helping young people succeed? We’re looking for a Temporary Transition Co-ordinator to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) as they move into further education. This role is key in ensuring smooth, successful transitions and involves working closely with internal teams, schools, parents, and local authorities.
Please note: The successful candidate will ideally hold a DBS on the Update Service. If not, they will be subject to a DBS check prior to starting.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate EHCP consultations and reviews, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and manage EHCP-related queries from schools and local authorities.
- Build strong relationships with schools, SENCOs, parents/carers, and stakeholders.
- Support students through meetings, visits, applications, interviews, and enrolment.
- Develop and implement individual transition plans where needed.
- Attend annual reviews and chair meetings where required.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure ongoing support and progression for students.
- Share SEND strategies with teaching staff to enhance student support.
- Contribute to staff training on the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid understanding of SEND legislation and EHCP processes.
- Previous experience in a similar education or support role.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
