We are looking for an experienced and customer focused Fire Safety Systems & Electrical Servicing Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and carrying out remedial works on a range of fire safety systems and associated electrical installations while ensuring full compliance with current standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

Working Hours: Full Time – 45 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, test, and fault find on:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Emergency Lighting
- AOV (Automatic Opening Vent) Systems
- Dry Riser Interim Inspections
- Disabled Refuge Systems
- HHE (Hearing & Hard of Hearing) Systems
- Carry out remedial works, small installations, and commissioning works where required.
- Undertake low voltage (230V) installation and remedial tasks related to fire safety systems.
- Survey existing systems and provide recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with BS5839, BS5266, relevant regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, workmanship, and technical accuracy.
- Organise workloads effectively while communicating proactively with office staff regarding delays or issues.
- Complete all service reports, defect lists, job cards, and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Manage stock levels and vehicle inventory responsibly.
- Participate in the on-call rota in line with company policy.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, engineers, office staff, and management teams.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers regarding maintenance and upgrade opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing training, development programmes, and performance reviews.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge and experience of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within fire alarm and emergency lighting servicing preferred.
- FIA qualifications including:
- FIA Foundation
- BS5839-1 Fundamentals Unit 1 & 2
- Emergency Lighting Parts 1 & 2
- Portable Fire Extinguisher servicing qualification desirable.
- Strong understanding of current British Standards relating to fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- IT literate, good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Professional, reliable, adaptable, and customer focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- People management and financial awareness desirable.
- Full clean driving licence essential.
