Our client a well-established company with over five decades of experience in delivering high-quality pump systems and solutions across various industries is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Administrator to join them during, what is, an extremely busy growth period for them.
The Role:
The Sales Administrator will be essential in supporting the busy sales team by handling incoming enquiries, preparing quotations, and facilitating seamless communication between clients and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, providing product information and customer support.
- Prepare and follow up on sales quotations in a timely manner.
- Assist customers in selecting the right systems, parts, or services to meet their needs.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with the external sales team, providing administrative and sales support.
- Update and manage the CRM system with customer information, sales activities, and follow-up actions.
- Liaise with other departments (e.g., Service, Production) to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling products and services.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics, including lead times, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in creating and delivering sales presentations and proposals.
- Stay informed on products, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Do you have the required skills and attributes?
Demonstrated experience within internal sales, sales support, or customer service, ideally within engineering, water, or manufacturing sectors. However this may suit a recent college leaver, who has an interest in mechanical engineering and wants to advance their career within a leading organisation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical products clearly.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Customer-focused, proactive approach to problem-solving, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with mechanical or industrial equipment.
- Experience with sales order processing and contract management.
