Location: Walsall

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (DOE), plus performance-related package (details discussed at shortlist stage)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new 2-bed children’s residential home in Walsall, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an exciting opportunity to establish a high-quality service from the ground up, leading the home through Ofsted registration and the initial inspection, recruiting and developing a committed staff team, and creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the home through Ofsted registration and the first inspection.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing residential care team.
  • Promote a child-centred, trauma-informed culture that delivers positive outcomes.
  • Oversee safeguarding, care planning, risk management, and behaviour support.
  • Monitor quality assurance systems, including Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 processes.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, rotas, and occupancy in line with organisational objectives.
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, and other stakeholders.
