The Employee Relations Partner will act as a trusted advisor to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters. The role is responsible for ensuring a fair, consistent, and legally compliant approach to ER cases, while promoting a positive and proactive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert advice to managers on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, absence, disciplinaries, and grievances.
  • Manages a range of ER cases, including complex and high-risk situations.
  • Supports investigations, hearings, and outcomes in line with company policy and employment law.
  • Coaches and guides managers to build confidence and capability in handling ER matters.
  • Monitors and tracks ER cases, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
  • Identifies trends and provides insights to improve processes and reduce risk.
  • Works closely with trade unions and supports communication between stakeholders.
  • Liaises with occupational health and external legal advisors where required.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are applied consistently across the organisation.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Employee Relations role, ideally within a unionised environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident in handling complex and sensitive cases.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
