This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a standalone, high-impact HR position where you’ll shape the people strategy and grow with the business.

Salary: £45,000–£48,000 FTE

Location: Purley

Working Pattern: 2 to 3 days per week – flexible to discuss hours/days

Hybrid: Minimum 1 day in the office + 1 day WFH

The Opportunity

This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the CFO, offering full ownership of the HR function. You’ll play a key role in building and evolving HR processes, supporting a growing team, and embedding a positive, inclusive culture. As the business continues to expand, this role has real scope to develop and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to exit
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and deliver a smooth onboarding experience
  • Act as the go-to for employee relations, supporting a positive and collaborative culture
  • Ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant and up to date
  • Drive performance management processes, including appraisals and development plans
  • Monitor key metrics such as attendance, absence, and employee engagement
  • Identify training needs and implement development initiatives
  • Coordinate staff events, benefits, and internal engagement activities
  • Maintain employee structures and conduct exit interviews

About You

  • Degree qualified in HR or a related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in an HR Manager or similar standalone role
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Confident managing a full HR function independently
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office
