Part-Time Bookkeeper and Office Administrator
12-month FTC (with a likely extension)
Caterham
£14.50 - £16.50 per hour Approx. 15 hours per week Permanent
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of their workload and becoming a trusted support within a small, friendly business environment.
Working approximately 15 hours per week across 3-4 days (flexible on days Monday to Friday), this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to increase hours in the future.
What will you be doing?
You will take responsibility for a varied role covering both bookkeeping and office administration, including:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations across group companies
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including VAT returns
- Processing payroll support and ensuring accurate payments
- Managing bookkeeping records across the business
- Preparing CIS returns, CITB Levy submissions and deduction statements
- Supporting general office operations and ordering supplies
- Assisting with project material orders when required
- Collating information and compiling O&M manuals for construction projects
About you
Construction experience is essential, as there is the requirement that successful individuals will understand the terminology, paperwork and processes involved within the sector.
Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring a hands-on approach, ideally with:
- Previous experience within bookkeeping, finance administration or accounts
- Strong knowledge of Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with reconciliations, AP/AR and financial processes
- Experience within the construction industry with knowledge of CIS and construction processes
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
