A well-established and professional firm in Oxted is seeking a skilled Commercial Property Paralegal to join their team. This dynamic role offers exposure to both commercial and residential property matters, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance legal expertise and progress a career in property law.
Circa £33,000 per annum
Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm
Working alongside a team of experienced solicitors and lawyers, you will deliver high-level legal and administrative support, ensuring matters move efficiently and clients receive excellent service.
Main Duties:
- Support a busy property caseload, assisting with both commercial and residential transactions.
- Handle Land Registry tasks, including obtaining title deeds, lodging applications, and managing requisitions.
- Manage post-completion work, such as submitting SDLT returns and filing Companies House forms (MR01, MR04, etc.).
- Draft and complete legal documents and forms, including replies to Commercial Property Standard Enquiries (CPSE).
- Communicate with clients, lenders, agents, brokers, surveyors, and other solicitors to keep transactions on track.
- Conduct client onboarding in accordance with AML compliance procedures.
- Prepare completion statements and bills, and manage associated accounts queries.
- Organise and maintain case files, correspondence, and documents using the firm’s case management system.
- Provide professional, approachable client support, both in person and over the phone.
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a property team, with commercial property exposure preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Land Registry procedures and property documentation.
- Experience managing post-completion work and legal forms.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy environment.
- Residential conveyancing experience is acceptable, but commercial property knowledge is ideal.
