We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead an established 3-bed children’s residential home in South East London, supporting young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive organisation with a stable staff team and strong senior management backing, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding care and outcomes for young people.
- Hold Ofsted registration for the home
- Lead and support a child-centred staff team
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Maintain high standards in preparation for Ofsted inspections
- Oversee care planning, safeguarding and risk management
- Manage referrals, admissions and placement planning
- Lead staff recruitment, supervision and development
- Build positive relationships with young people, families and professionals
The successful candidate will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring safeguarding practices remain fully embedded throughout the home. You will also have previous experience preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections, with a strong understanding of the SCCIF framework and a track record of achieving positive outcomes.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior role within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Experience supporting young people with EBD and complex needs
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience. Performance-related bonus. Ongoing professional development opportunities.
