Projects Engineer in Horsham

Are you an experienced Projects Engineer looking for a varied technical role where no two projects are quite the same? We are looking for a Projects Engineer to join a growing IT team, working on a range of technical projects for customers across the South East and London. This is a hands-on Projects Engineer role, combining office-based work with customer visits. One day you could be setting up a server in the office; the next, you could be onsite installing and configuring it for a customer. The Projects Engineer role You will sit within the Complex Projects team, working on the more unique and technically challenging IT projects rather than routine day-to-day support. As a Projects Engineer, you will be involved in: * Delivering technical IT projects from start to finish * Server installations, configuration and upgrades * Microsoft 365 migrations and configuration * Windows Server and Active Directory * Networking including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching and VPNs * Hyper-V and virtualisation * Backup and Disaster Recovery * Endpoint security and MFA * Wi-Fi configuration and deployment * Intune and Autopilot * Azure infrastructure * Technical documentation and project records * Customer-facing technical support and communication * Travelling to customer sites across the South East and London What the client needs: MSP experience is preferred, as you will be comfortable working across different customer environments and managing multiple priorities. However, it isn’t essential - If you are an IT professional with solid project or infrastructure experience, who is used to managing multiple pieces of work and seeing projects through to completion, we’d be keen to hear from you. You will need strong technical knowledge, good organisation and workload management skills, and the confidence to work independently and directly with customers. Experience with UniFi, Datto RMM/Autotask, 3CX, Sophos, RDS/FSLogix, Huntress, Inky, structured cabling or CCTV would be useful, but isn’t essential. A full UK driving licence is required for the customer-site element of the Projects Engineer role.
