Are you looking to kick-start your career in estimating? Our client is looking for a Trainee Estimator to join their growing team in Caterham. Location: Caterham, Surrey (Must be a driver due to location)
Salary: £24,000–£28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-time

The Role
As a Trainee Estimator, you'll be supported every step of the way as you learn how to prepare accurate cost estimates and assist with the tender process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with reviewing tender enquiries, drawings and specifications.
- Supporting the preparation of estimates, quotations and cost breakdowns.
- Learning how to produce Bills of Quantities, pricing schedules and tender documentation.
- Attending site visits and surveys alongside experienced colleagues.
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of competitive tenders.
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information.
- Providing administrative support to the estimating team.
- Learning industry best practices through full training and mentoring.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Numerate with strong analytical skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Interested in construction, demolition or the built environment.
- A confident problem solver who enjoys working with figures.
- Eager to learn and develop a long-term career.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Ideally, you'll also have:
- A qualification or interest in Construction, Engineering, Surveying or a related subject (desirable but not essential).
- Previous office or administration experience (advantageous but not essential).
