Our client is on the lookout for an experienced Estimator / Trainee Estimator to join their growing team in Caterham.
Whether you're starting your estimating career or already have experience, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, work on exciting projects across London and the South East and progress within a supportive business.
Full training and mentoring will be provided for Trainees, while experienced Estimators will take the lead on preparing competitive tender submissions.
Salary: £24,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on level of experience and career to date)

- Key Responsibilities - Depending on your level of experience, your duties will include:
- Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings and specifications.
- Preparing accurate estimates, quotations and cost breakdowns.
- Producing Bills of Quantities, pricing schedules and tender documentation.
- Attending site visits and surveys to assess project requirements.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of competitive tenders.
- Supporting post-tender reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Full training and support will be provided for candidates starting their estimating career.
About You – Our client is looking for someone who is
- Numerate with strong analytical skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Interested in construction, demolition or the built environment.
- A confident problem solver who enjoys working with figures.
- Eager to learn and develop their career.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.

- Previous estimating experience within construction, demolition, deconstruction or a similar industry (preferred but not essential).
- Experience preparing quotations or tender submissions.
- The ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Good commercial awareness.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
