Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: Westerham (with travel across the Southeast) Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Benefits: 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays & Company pension The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, Assistant Surveyor to join a forward-thinking construction business based in Westerham. This role offers the chance to be involved in a variety of residential and commercial projects across the Southeast, providing strong support and career development within a collaborative team environment. Working closely with the brickwork division, the successful candidate will bring solid knowledge of brickwork and masonry products, along with prior surveying experience within the construction sector. Key Responsibilities: * Conducting monthly site valuations and cost reviews. * Attending project and site meetings with clients and contractors. * Managing and organising account and variation meetings. * Collating site instructions and tracking project changes. * Preparing and submitting cost reports for internal and external stakeholders. * Overseeing multiple projects, ensuring budgets and timelines are adhered to. * Liaising effectively with teams on-site and within the office. * Adapting to evolving project needs and changing priorities. About You: * Previous experience in a surveying role within the construction industry. * Strong understanding of brickwork and masonry materials. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure. * Confident working on projects of varying sizes. * Proactive approach with a solution-focused mindset. * Full UK driving licence preferred due to travel requirements.
