Tasks

The Wake Night Support Worker will help ensure the smooth running of the home overnight by:

  • Carrying out regular well-being checks.
  • Providing reassurance and support to young people if they wake during the night.
  • Helping maintain a safe, comfortable and homely environment.
  • Completing night reports and handovers for the daytime team.
  • Assisting with light household duties such as laundry and tidying.
  • Supporting routines and preparations for the following day.
  • Attending training, team meetings and supervision sessions as required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be:

  • Friendly, caring and dependable.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A confident communicator with good record-keeping skills.
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people.
  • Calm, organised and positive in their approach.
  • Must have a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards one (essential).
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices (essential).
