- We are recruiting an experienced
Senior Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care while helping lead shifts and support the residential care team within a children’s home .
As a
Senior Residential Support Worker , you will
- Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the children’s home.
- Provide high-quality residential childcare .
- Safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
- Support emotional, behavioural and additional needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, including
PBS approaches.
- Build positive relationships with children and young people.
- Support education, activities, life skills and independence.
- Supervise and mentor
Residential Support Workers .
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and key working.
- Complete records, reports and handovers.
- Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
- Support the Registered Manager when required.
About You
Level 3 Residential Childcare / Children & Young People qualification or equivalent.
12+ months’ children’s residential care experience desirable.
- Experience supporting emotional/behavioural needs and challenging behaviour.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection .
Full UK driving licence.
- Flexible for evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and on-call duties where required.
