- We are recruiting a
Residential Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing and child-centred care to children and young people within a children’s residential home .
As a
Residential Support Worker , you will
- Provide emotional, practical and social support.
- Safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
- Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
- Support education, activities, life skills and independence.
- Build positive, trusting relationships.
- Support positive behaviour, including
PBS approaches.
- Complete records, reports and handovers.
- Undertake Key Worker responsibilities.
- Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
- Support personal care and medication where trained.
- Work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins .
About You
Level 3 Residential Childcare / Children & Young People qualification, or willingness to work towards.
- Experience in children’s residential care is desirable.
- Experience supporting emotional, behavioural or complex needs.
- Caring, patient and resilient with strong communication skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Full UK driving licence.
