- We are recruiting an experienced
Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home .
As a
Deputy Manager , you will
- Support and deputise for the Registered Manager.
- Lead, supervise and develop the residential care team .
- Lead shifts and support staffing/rotas.
- Safeguard children and young people.
- Ensure high-quality, child-centred residential childcare .
- Support care plans, risk assessments and behaviour plans.
- Manage challenging and complex situations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Support
- Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and
Ofsted requirements.
- Contribute to audits, quality assurance and service improvement.
- Work with families, social workers and other professionals.
- Participate in management on-call duties where required.
About You
- Experience as a
Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager or similar within children’s residential care.
Level 3 Residential Childcare / Children & Young People qualification or equivalent.
- Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Experience managing risk and challenging situations.
- Good communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, experience with Ofsted/audits, staff supervision and knowledge of trauma-informed care/PBS .
