Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Care

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking for your next opportunity within children's residential care?
We are working with a well-established provider looking for a Deputy Manager to join their team in Bognor Regis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager who is passionate about supporting children and young people and wants to play an active role in the day-to-day running of a residential home.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where young people can thrive.
The Deputy Manager role
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead, motivate and support the care team.
- Promote high standards of safeguarding and care.
- Support staff through supervision, guidance and development.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and reviews.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Work alongside families, social workers and other professionals.
- Support the home to meet Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
- Take responsibility for the home in the Registered Manager's absence.
About you
We are looking for a Deputy Manager with previous experience within children's residential care and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
You will ideally have:
- Experience at Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager level within children's residential care.
- A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
- Experience supporting young people with challenging or complex needs.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- The confidence to lead a team and make decisions when required.
- A full UK driving licence.
