Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum

Role Overview:

As a Product Owner, this role plays a crucial part in shaping and enhancing financial software products. The position involves defining product vision, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating requirements into actionable development plans. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial processes, industry trends, and a passion for delivering high-quality SaaS solutions.

Product Owner (Accounting SaaS – Office of the CFO) – Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Product Director to define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Gather and prioritise product requirements from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Curate and manage a prioritised product backlog, incorporating support tickets, customer feedback, and implementation considerations.
  • Write clear and detailed user stories, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to break down user stories into actionable development tasks.
  • Define user-centric acceptance criteria, including expected outcomes and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure an intuitive and effective user experience.
  • Work closely with QA teams to maintain high product quality, supporting test case creation and validation.
  • Coordinate and oversee product releases, aligning sprints with roadmap objectives and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer feedback, utilising insights to drive continuous product enhancements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure a cohesive product development approach.
