Company Overview
Our client is a fast-growing LegalTech scale-up that’s redefining how law firms operate through modern, cloud-based Practice and Case Management software with powerful built-in financial functionality. Having gained strong traction in the UK market, the company is expanding its commercial team and now seeking a dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer to help drive continued growth and client success.
Role Overview
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the sales process by demonstrating the value of the company’s Legal SaaS platform to prospective clients. You’ll work closely with Account Executives and the wider commercial team to understand client requirements; design tailored product demonstrations and translate technical and functional capabilities into real-world benefits. This role is perfect for someone with strong LegalTech or financial software experience who enjoys the mix of technical understanding, consultative communication, and storytelling that helps customers visualise a solution in action.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to deliver compelling, tailored software demonstrations to law firms and legal service providers.
- Translate complex functional and technical capabilities into clear, outcome-focused client stories.
- Work closely with prospects to understand their current workflows, challenges, and requirements.
- Configure demo environments and data to align with prospect use cases.
- Support proposal creation and RFP responses from a technical perspective.
- Provide feedback to Product and Marketing teams on customer needs and market trends.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the platform’s Practice, Case, and Financial Management modules.
- Support smooth handovers to Professional Services post-sale.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working in a Pre-Sales, Solution Consultant, or Technical Consultant role within a SaaS or LegalTech environment.
- Strong understanding of Legal Practice Management or Legal Accounting systems.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders within law firms.
- Experience configuring or demonstrating software solutions (hands-on demo environments, not just slideware).
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence buying decisions.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
