We’re working with an established and growing B2B SaaS business looking to appoint a BDR Manager to lead and develop its Business Development function. This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for an existing team of five BDRs in Manchester, alongside supporting the continued growth of the function, including additional hiring in London.
The Role
- You’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day performance and development of the BDR team, creating the structure, coaching and accountability needed to consistently generate high-quality pipeline.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of BDRs
- Drive outbound activity and pipeline generation across the team
- Set and manage KPIs around activity, meetings, opportunities and pipeline
- Run regular 1:1s, call coaching and performance reviews
- Improve messaging, prospecting techniques and outbound processes
- Work closely with Sales leadership and Account Executives to improve lead handover and conversion
- Recruit, onboard and develop additional BDR talent, including planned hiring in London
- Create a high‑performance culture while maintaining strong team engagement
- Use CRM and sales engagement data to identify opportunities to improve performance
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing or leading BDR/SDR teams within B2B SaaS or technology
- A strong understanding of modern outbound prospecting
- Evidence of coaching BDRs and improving individual/team performance
- Experience recruiting and onboarding sales development talent
- A data‑driven approach to pipeline generation and performance management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior sales leadership
- A hands‑on leadership style – someone comfortable coaching calls and messaging as well as managing the numbers
