Our client, a well-established and technology-led payment services provider, is looking for a commercially driven and solutions-focused Business Development Manager to join their growing team. With a strong track record of supporting e-commerce merchants across regulated and high-risk industries, they offer tailored payment solutions and access to a trusted acquiring network. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding their UK merchant base during a period of rapid growth.
Business Development Manager (Payment Solutions) – The Role
- Own and manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, using a consultative and solution-led sales approach.
- Identify and target merchants in high-risk verticals such as gaming, financial services, travel, and events.
- Create and present tailored payment solutions that address merchant needs and align with acquiring partners’ requirements.
- Negotiate commercial terms and structure bespoke deals to support long-term relationships.
- Stay up to date with acquiring trends, regulatory developments, and product offerings across the payments ecosystem.
Business Development Manager (Payment Solution) – Ideal Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2B sales within a PSP, Acquirer, ISO, Payment Gateway, or PayFac.
- Proven success in selling payment solutions into high-risk or regulated sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- A self-starter with a proactive and consultative mindset, capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
