Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive new business growth across SME, Mid-Market, and Enterprise accounting firms. The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying new opportunities and engaging senior stakeholders through to delivering product demonstrations, negotiating commercial agreements, and closing new business. Using a consultative sales approach, the Account Executive will work closely with prospective clients to understand their operational challenges and position the organisation’s software solutions as a way to modernise audit, financial reporting, and practice management processes. This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys developing new relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and selling into senior decision-makers within accounting and finance environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to closing new business
- Deliver product demonstrations and clearly articulate the commercial value of the platform
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate revenue forecasting
- Apply a consultative sales approach to uncover client needs and align solutions accordingly
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to support pipeline generation and deal progression
- Maintain accurate CRM records and follow established sales processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in a closing sales role such as Account Executive, Business Development Manager, or New Business Account Manager
- Experience selling into accounting firms, finance teams, or professional services environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in a new business environment
- Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
- Commercially driven with a consultative sales mindset
- Ability to operate independently in a remote environment
