A friendly family based in Harpenden are looking for a caring, playful and reliable nanny to join them on a long term basis, starting as soon as possible.

The role

This is a part time position supporting two girls aged 4 years and 15 months. The role includes a mix of sole charge care and shared care, particularly at the end of the day.

Days and hours

  • Tuesday: 12pm-6:00pm
  • Thursday: 8am-6:00pm
  • Friday: 8am-2:00pm

Children

  • A confident and creative 4 year old who enjoys arts and crafts, imaginative play, drama and role play.
  • A happy, smiley 15 month old who loves music, movement and spending time with her big sister.

Duties

  • Full day care for the younger child on Thursday and Friday mornings, including outings such as playgroups, parks, walks and library visits.
  • Nursery and school pick ups (both within walking distance).
  • Supporting the evening routine and children's dinner.
  • Creating a nurturing, fun and stimulating environment.

The family are looking for someone who is

  • Warm, caring, playful and engaged.
  • A good level of experience as a nanny and confident with both babies and preschool age children.
  • Happy to work as part of a team with parents.
  • Looking for a long term role and to become a consistent part of the family.

Additional information

  • Dairy free household (non life threatening).
  • A driving licence is not essential.
