We are looking for a Care Support Assistant to support a client based in Accrington on a 2:1 basis. Full training will be given to set you on your path to being a Care Support Assistant, where you will be paid a competitive rate of pay after completion of training. This job involves 16 hours per week including day shifts and attracts a competitive rate of pay of £12.75 per hour (after completion of training).
Main duties of the job
- Support is required with the following:
- Personal hygiene (minimal support until moves house)
- Meal preparation
- Help to shop for food, drink and essential items
- Support to attend appointments
- Assist with accessing activities within the community within areas of interest
- Support to maintain environment

Responsibilities
- Assisting clients in their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
- Supporting clients to attend appointments and community activities
- Administering medication when required
Qualifications and Experience
- A caring and empathetic nature
- A genuine desire to support others
- Basic IT and record-keeping skills
- A full UK driving licence is advantageous
- Previous experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided
