Yourgene Health is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Junior Buyer with the skills and experience to contribute to the smooth running of the procurement & planning team. The Junior Buyer will support the Supply Chain Manager in both tactical planning and procurement and strategic projects for the wider group. You will be based onsite at our Manchester HQ and this is a full-time and permanent role.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Purchase materials required for production schedule
- Review purchase requisitions to create purchase orders ensuring compliance to purchasing policies.
- Accurately process purchase orders and expedite to ensure on time in full delivery.
- Continually review Supplier Lead times / Price updates
- Communicate with suppliers and key stakeholders any change in schedules and any relevant information required to support efficient material management.
- Assist with sourcing activities, cost saving projects / continuous improvement works.
- Support supplier onboarding and reviews, maintaining compliant, accurate and robust supplier database.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to support business priorities, to facilitate best practice purchasing.
- Assist with supplier invoice queries as required.
- Liase with internal stakeholders / departments.
- Other Administrative duties as required to support business objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Time management, and high diligence.
- Previous purchasing and or planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, ideally Netsuite or Sage.
- Stock Control experience.
- Methodical and organised approach to work
- Computer literate with competence in MS Office
