Job Description: Paid Search Manager

Location: Bideford (Hybrid)

Salary: ÂŁ35,000 +

SUMMARY

We\’re looking for a commercially sharp, data-driven digital expert to lead PPC activity for a global travel client with an annual budget of $20m+ – one of the most exciting names in adventure travel.

This role will focus exclusively on this contract, meaning you\’ll have the opportunity to get close to the brand, understand its audiences and strategy inside and out, and deliver consistently exceptional performance.

You will be responsible for strategy and hands-on execution across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads & SA360, working collaboratively with the client, our account team, and the client’s in-house specialist.

Your ability to interpret performance data and optimise campaigns proactively will be essential to drive meaningful results and return on investment.

Key responsibilities

•Lead Paid Search Execution: Manage day-to-day campaign execution across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and SA360 for 7+ global accounts—owning budgets, optimising performance, and driving results at scale.

•Drive Campaign Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance across campaigns, and deliver clear, data-backed strategies to enhance results and efficiency.

•Shape Creative Strategy with Data: Analyse creative performance to uncover trends, and influence future creative direction.

•Design and Execute Consistent A/B Testing: Test the latest in Platform innovations (AI Max) and build out a testing roadmap for the months ahead.

•Own Reporting & Strategic Planning: Deliver clear, insightful performance reports and develop roadmap plans that align with broader business goals. Use platform trends and channel knowledge to help shape the paid social strategy.

•Manage Budgets: Oversee paid search budgets across multiple regions, ensuring accurate pacing and reallocating spend to maximize performance and ROI.

•Collaborate with Platform Partners: Work directly with partners at Google and Microsoft to gain early access to new features, stay current on platform updates, and maximize the support available.

About you

•You\’ll bring 3+ years of hands-on experience, running performance-driven Paid Search campaigns (lead-gen experience is a bonus).

•You have a strong understanding of the user journey and how paid search fits within the broader marketing funnel.

•Global marketing experience is a bonus but not a must have, managing campaigns across multiple markets, currencies, languages, and cultural nuances.

•You\’re confident with Excel/Google Sheets and familiar with analytics tools such as GA4, Looker, or similar platforms for deep performance insight.

•You have experience with Offline conversion integrations in Google Ads.

•Experience with SA360 / CM360 & Google Tag Manager is a strong plus.

•You have experience managing external partners such as agencies, ensuring alignment, accountability, and performance.

•You are comfortable challenging assumptions and consistently push for improvement and innovation.

•Strong communicator who is confident delivering insights and strategic recommendations to clients and colleagues.

•Curious about people, data and digital behaviours – and how they intersect.

Benefits

•Performance-related bonuses

•25 days holiday + bank holidays

•Company events and quarterly away days

•Company pension

•On-site gym

•Charity days, so you can give back to a charity you care about

•Vitality Health cover, including cover for a range of medical care and health and fitness discounts

•Ability to join trips to Uganda, Cambodia or Peru with no requirement to use holiday entitlement days (up to 8 days “for free”). You will have the opportunity to go on a pro bono trip providing your work is above standard & it’s signed off by your manager after 1 year of work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ÂŁ35.000-ÂŁ40,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Additional leave
  • Company pension
