The Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of finance and accounting activities, ensuring financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with company procedures.
- Supporting the Finance Manager with daily finance operations and monthly accounting activities
- Managing all aspects of credit control and debt collection
- Processing and reconciling weekly and monthly bank transactions
- Completing monthly employee expense processing
- Reconciling company credit card statements
- Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders
- Preparing and reconciling supplier statements
- Resolving supplier invoice queries efficiently and professionally
- Producing and issuing customer invoices and recurring billing schedules
- Handling customer account and invoice queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records, CRM systems, and databases
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department
- Assisting with financial reporting and management information as required
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, financial controls, and information security standards
About You

Essential Skills & Experience- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Finance Administrator, Bookkeeper, or similar role
- Experience managing credit control activities
- Knowledge of purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
- Experience working with CRM systems
- Exposure to management accounts support and reporting
