The Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing and documenting requirements while acting as the bridge between IT, engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders. You will help shape solutions across business systems, integrations and digital platforms, ensuring the right requirements are captured and delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with business stakeholders to capture, analyse and document requirements
  • Translating business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
  • Acting as the bridge between business users, developers and technical teams
  • Supporting system integrations, process improvements and digital initiatives
  • Producing documentation such as user stories, process flows, data mappings and functional specs
  • Collaborating with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions to understand business challenges
  • Identifying opportunities to improve business processes, workflows and system utilisation
  • Supporting testing phases including UAT planning and requirements validation
  • Ensuring solutions are aligned with both technical feasibility and business outcomes

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who can comfortably work between technology teams and operational stakeholders. Key experience includes:

  • Experience working as a Technical Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting technical and functional requirements
  • Experience working with software development teams (Agile, Scrum or Waterfall environments)
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language
  • Experience producing user stories, process maps, workflows and documentation
  • Exposure to systems integrations, APIs or enterprise applications
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability

Desirable experience:

  • Experience with ERP, eCommerce or supply chain systems
  • Experience working in retail, distribution, logistics or wholesale environments
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks
