We are recruiting on behalf of a private healthcare provider for an experienced Pharmacist Independent Prescriber to join their growing weight loss service based in Nottingham.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an innovative clinical team delivering safe, effective and patient-centred weight management services.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing patients, prescribing appropriate weight loss treatments and supporting individuals throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical consultations for patients accessing weight management services.
  • Independently prescribe weight loss medications in line with clinical guidelines and best practice.
  • Assess patient suitability for treatment and provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care through virtual and face-to-face consultations where required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with GPh C standards.
  • Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to continuously improve the service.
  • Promote safe prescribing and support positive patient outcomes.
  • Registered Pharmacist with the GPh C.
  • Previous experience prescribing weight loss medications.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and consultation skills.
  • Strong communication and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced private healthcare environment.
