Our client is looking for a Security Operations Officer to provide a professional and effective external Security Service tailored to meet the needs of their NHS Trust

- Weekdays £14.62per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
- Saturdays/Nights: £17.25per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
- Sundays: £19.50 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
- Shift times: shift time is 07:30– 21:00
- Based: Office / Hospital

Job Duties
- Provide first line response for any building related issues which affect the operation of the building.
- Undertake and document security patrols of sites, grounds, and buildings according to the daily/night schedule.
- Site searches in and around buildings and gardens
- Responding to emergency calls and intruder alarm activations.
- Escorting duties as required between buildings on request.
- Liaise with staff, members of the public and police as necessary.
- Maintain electronic security logs in accordance with security protocols.
- Respond to security incidents as appropriate.
- Participate in physical intervention activities, as required, or directed.
- Participate in face-to-face handovers after/before each shift.
- Ensure the hospital sites are safe by implementing locking and unlocking procedures through the security control systems as appropriate.
- Patrols of Armstrong Way and locking and unlocking of building
- Work flexibly and alter shift patterns as service needs dictate. To undertake rotational shift patterns worked across 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
- To present a professional appearance and remain polite to all staff, visitors and public at all times and wear personal protective equipment provided, as necessary.
- Responding to emergency calls and intruder alarm activation’s out of hours on London Community sites.
- Assist Car Parking staff with incidents of violence or aggression.
- To undertake parking enforcement across Trust sites, issuing parking charge notices and warnings to support the car parking enforcement officer when required.
- To assist/ support the porter service as and when required
- To carry out any other porter duty at the direction of any member of the service management team.
