The role
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop individualised treatment plans for patients
- Administer psychiatric medications and monitor their effects
- Provide various forms of therapy, including individual and group sessions
- Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Advocate for patients\’ rights and support their recovery journey
- Offer education and emotional support to patients and their families
- Promote mental health awareness and destigmatisation
- Stay updated on current practices and treatments in mental healthcare
