One of our clients, an acute hospital in Bangor, is looking for a Make Ready Support Worker to join the Ambulance Service. They are open to speaking to candidates at band 3 level with a view to offering a long-term contract with an hourly pay rate of £12 - £13 P/H.
Through effective decontamination, the post holder will have responsibility for ensuring that ambulances, equipment, and consumables are in a state of immediate readiness. The post holder will prepare ambulances for operational duty to an agreed quality standard for the safety and wellbeing of NIAS Staff and Patients. This will include cleaning, decontaminating, re-stocking, vehicle roadworthiness checks, and safety/functional checks of onboard equipment (medical and non-medical). The role may involve shift working including at night and weekends.
Essential criteria to be considered for this role:
- Contribute to ensuring the highest standards of environmental cleanliness within designated area of work
- Contribute to the readiness of the NIAS fleet by ensuring vehicles are stocked, cleaned, in good state of repair, and roadworthy
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained both in the interior and exterior of vehicles in line with agreed standards
- Ensure clinical response bags are appropriately stocked to agreed levels
