Our client is looking for a Security Operations Officer to provide a professional and effective external Security Service tailored to meet the needs of their NHS Trust.

Pay Rates:
- Weekdays: £14.62 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
- Saturdays/Nights: £17.25 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
- Sundays: £19.50 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Hours / Working Days: 3 - 4 shifts across Monday - Sunday
Shift times: 07:30 - 21:00

Job Duties:
- Provide first line response for any building related issues which affect the operation of the building.
- Undertake and document security patrols of sites, grounds, and buildings according to the daily/night schedule.
- Conduct site searches in and around buildings and gardens.
- Respond to emergency calls and intruder alarm activations.
- Perform escorting duties as required between buildings on request.
- Liaise with staff, members of the public, and police as necessary.
- Maintain electronic security logs in accordance with security protocols.
- Respond to security incidents as appropriate.
- Participate in physical intervention activities, as required, or directed.
- Participate in face-to-face handovers after/before each shift.
- Ensure the hospital sites are safe by implementing locking and unlocking procedures through the security control systems as appropriate.
- Patrol Armstrong Way and lock/unlock buildings.
- Work flexibly and alter shift patterns as service needs dictate.
- Undertake rotational shift patterns worked across 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
- Present a professional appearance and remain polite to all staff, visitors, and the public at all times, wearing personal protective equipment provided as necessary.
- Respond to emergency calls and intruder alarm activations out of hours on London Community sites.
- Assist Car Parking staff with incidents of violence or aggression.
- Undertake parking enforcement across Trust sites, issuing parking charge notices and warnings to support the car parking enforcement officer when required.
- Assist/support the porter service as and when required.
- Carry out any other porter duty at the direction of any member of the service management team.
