Hours / Working Days: 36.5 hours per week (average across the month) 2-5 shifts a week across Monday to Sunday:
- AM: 0800 – 20:30
- PM: 12:30-20:30
- Nights: 20:00 – 08:30

Main duties of the job:
- Carry out electrical PPM, statutory testing, and reactive maintenance in line with legislation, HTMs, and Trust procedures.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across key systems (power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, nurse call, IPS/UPS).
- Ensure safe, efficient, and technically compliant completion of all work, with accurate CAFM (RAM/Concerto) records.
- Participate in the Estates on-call rota to maintain service continuity during urgent out-of-hours issues.
- Support emergency response to electrical failures in critical clinical areas, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Maintain compliance with Trust policies including Health & Safety, Infection Control, Safeguarding, and Data Protection.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role and grade as required by Estates management.
Person specification:
- BS7671
- Electrical testing qualification (e.g., C&G 2391 or 2394/2395)
- Full UK Driving License
- Ability to participate in the on call rota
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair
