Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Audiology Booking Coordinator to support NHS services with the efficient booking and management of audiology patient appointments. This is a fully remote position, ideal for candidates with strong NHS or healthcare administrative experience and a proven background in patient booking.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage approximately 15β20 patient bookings per day, ensuring a high standard of patient care and administrative accuracy at all times.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Book, amend, and cancel audiology appointments in line with NHS procedures
- Contact patients via phone and/or email to arrange suitable appointment times
- Manage patient appointment schedules, ensuring optimal clinic utilisation
- Update and maintain accurate patient records on NHS systems
- Handle patient enquiries professionally, sensitively, and efficiently
- Liaise with audiology clinicians and wider administrative teams to resolve booking issues
- Ensure compliance with NHS data protection and confidentiality standards
- Identify and escalate any booking backlogs, capacity issues, or patient concerns
- Work to daily booking targets while maintaining a patient-focused approach
Essential Requirements
- Previous NHS or healthcare administrative experience
- Proven patient booking / appointment scheduling experience
- Experience working with NHS systems (e.g. PAS, EPR or similar)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Confident managing multiple bookings and priorities simultaneously
