The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers genuine clinical involvement within a structured, well-governed private healthcare environment. The successful candidate will combine strong clinical judgement with excellent patient communication skills and a commitment to delivering a premium standard of care. You will play a key role in dispensing, conducting consultations, and supporting the continued growth of our private clinical services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Accurately dispense private prescriptions in line with GPhC standards and company SOPs
- Conduct structured patient consultations for private clinical services
- Assess patient suitability for treatment and ensure safe and appropriate supply of medication
- Provide clear, evidence-based clinical advice to patients both face-to-face and via telephone, email and video
- Maintain comprehensive and compliant clinical records
- Identify, manage, and appropriately escalate clinical risk
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and governance requirements
- Support and supervise pharmacy support staff where required
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of private clinical services
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and patient-focused clinic environment
Experience & Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC (essential)
- Experience in community pharmacy or private healthcare setting
- In depth clinical knowledge. Understanding of blood work and recognising when to refer is essential
- Strong consultation skills with the ability to build patient trust and rapport
- Confident clinical decision-maker in a private healthcare environment
- Passion for explaining to patients about pharmacy and raising awareness on social media with confidence being on camera
- Excellent communication skills (face-to-face and telephone)
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a quality-focused, service-led setting
- Experience delivering private services (e.g. travel health, weight management, prescribing services) desirable
- Independent Prescriber qualification desirable but not essential
