Job Description
Do you want to personally build and run a hands-on growth engine, take commercial responsibility for outcomes, and grow in step with a profitable B2B business? This role is not for you if you’re looking for a strategy-only position, need a team to execute your ideas, or prefer comfort and clarity over ownership and accountability.
About You
Does the following sound like we’re describing you?
- Ownership - You take responsibility for results, not just activity, and treat this role as something you genuinely own and build.
- Bias to Action - You move quickly from idea to execution, get work live without over-polishing, and improve things by testing rather than over-planning.
- Commercial Focus - You care about revenue, pipeline, and margin, and you naturally think about how marketing helps sales win deals.
- Customer Curiosity - You want to understand how buyers really think, so you spend time with sales and customers to shape messaging that actually resonates.
- Adaptability - You’re comfortable switching between strategy and hands-on delivery, using tools and AI to work efficiently and adjust fast when something isn’t working.
- Resilience - You stay motivated when results take time, learn from what doesn’t work, and keep momentum rather than losing energy.
About the Role
You are joining the team to build and own a hands-on growth engine that directly supports sales, accelerates revenue, and grows in scope and reward as the business scales.
What you’ll own
- You’ll build an engine that supports new business and helps our sales team convert.
Core responsibilities
- Tighten our messaging so it’s obvious who we help, what we do, and why it’s worth a conversation
- Demand generation
- Run campaigns that generate qualified inbound interest and support outbound sales
- Build and improve landing pages, lead magnets, nurture emails, and conversion paths
- Set up reporting that links activity → pipeline influence (not vanity metrics)
- Digital foundations
- Own website content structure, SEO basics, and conversion improvements
- Manage PPC (Google Ads) where appropriate and track results properly
- Build the assets sales actually uses: one-pagers, case studies, decks, product sheets, proof points, email sequences
- Spend time with the sales team and customers to understand objections, triggers, and buying psychology
- Turn those insights into campaigns and content that helps deals move
This role is for you if…
You’re the sort of marketer who can ship:
- You can write, publish, test, and iterate without waiting for perfect conditions
- You can run the basics yourself: website updates, landing pages, email, SEO, paid search, reporting
- You like being close to sales: listening to calls, shaping messaging, building collateral that helps deals close
- You use tools (and AI) to move faster and get more output per hour
- You want upside and growth as the business grows
This role is NOT for you if…
Please self-select out if any of these are true:
- You describe yourself as “strategy-only” and want to hire someone else for the “nuts and bolts”
- You can’t personally handle SEO / PPC basics / marketing ops
- You need a large brand, a big team, or a long runway before anything goes live
- You avoid commercial accountability (“I don’t do numbers”)
What we’re looking for
We care more about capability and output than perfect CVs. You’ll likely have experience in several of these:
- B2B marketing (ideally in services, data, software, or anything with longer sales cycles)
- Content + campaigns + performance basics (SEO, PPC, email, landing pages)
- Strong writing and structured thinking
- Comfort with numbers: performance reporting, pipeline influence, simple forecasting
- Tools: GA4, Google Ads, Search Console, HubSpot/Mailchimp/CRM basics (or similar)
- Design literacy (you don’t need to be a designer, but you can produce clean usable assets)
Working style & location
We’re building this function alongside the team, sharing knowledge across industry experts, so you will work from our Wrexham office 5 days per week.
Reward
The salary for this role is ÂŁ45,000 and your bonus is tied to company profit - the more successful we are, the more you earn and the more progression opportunities you unlock for yourself.
