What will my role be as a Group Health and Fitness Manager?
The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient, and high-quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes leading and managing our health and fitness offer, developing and monitoring a diverse gym and group exercise programme and implementing innovative digital solutions that enhance the member journey and support retention whilst working collaboratively with internal and external partners to deliver inclusive, accessible and commercially sustainable health and wellbeing opportunities that support and increase participation, promote physical activity and contribute to improved health outcomes across the borough.
What do I need to have?
- Qualified to Level 4 in Fitness or equivalent or qualified by experience
- Extensive experience in a leadership role in sport or leisure including mentoring, motivating and coaching
- Proven and successful experience of working with Teams across multiple disciplines and sites
- Experience of managing budgets and operations within tight financial circumstances and competing priorities
- Proven experience of delivery of service improvements andefficiency programmes
- Hold IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent or demonstrate commitment and ability to achieve within 3-6 months
- Understanding of how to deliver a balanced facility programme and how to measure and continually improve its performance and effectiveness
- Knowledge of one or all of the following; health and fitness, gymnastics, programming for the community
- Must be an effective project manager able to co-ordinate tasks to deliver activities and events
- Able to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
- Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
