When you join Your Trust as a Creative Learning Facilitator you will be part of a charity based across Rochdale that aims to support every member of our diverse community to live their best life; inspiring them to be healthier, happier and creative people.
What’s in it for me?
- Salary: Band 3, £25,040 - £28,252 per annum (pro-rate for part time hours)
- Hours: 22.5 hours per week
What will my role be?
The purpose of the role is to help deliver dynamic, inclusive and impactful creative learning sessions that support the aims of Touchstones. This includes setting up activities and spaces for effective learning experiences, leading the delivery of creative learning workshops to groups of visitors and partner organisations and carrying out evaluation activities for Touchstones’ Creative Learning programme.
What do I need to have?
- Qualified to GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent or qualified by experience
- Experience of engaging and inspiring children, young people and adults in a learning environment
- Experience of working collaboratively and in a busy team
- Familiar with guidelines for risk assessments, health and safety and child safeguarding
- Experienced, motivated self-starter with resilience and determination to see projects through to completion
- An understanding of how people learn and how to differentiate for various learning styles
- Ability to develop positive relationships with communities, stakeholders, partners and members of the public
- Interest in art, history and science
- A passion for creative learning and for making collections accessible to different learners and communities
- Creative, imaginative and motivated to share and develop new skills
- A willingness to learn new facilitation techniques
- Well organised, including planning and organisational skills and able to work independently within timeframes
- Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
