Requirements
- We ideally want experience in one or more of the following, which may come through education or commercial experience:
- Building or implementing practical AI solutions.
- Generative AI and large language models.
- APIs, integrations, and automation.
- Python or another relevant programming language.
- AI platforms and tools such as Open AI, Azure Open AI, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies.
- Prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents, or intelligent workflow automation.
- Working with business systems and data.
- Taking technical projects from discovery and prototype through to implementation.
- We are looking for someone who can combine technical AI capability with commercial thinking and strong communication skills.
- We welcome applications from recent graduates with relevant qualifications and candidates with commercial experience.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or another operationally complex environment would be useful, but is not essential.
- This is a fully office-based role in Exeter, and applicants should be able to commute to the office daily.

Responsibilities
- Work across the business to understand existing processes and identify opportunities for AI and automation.
- Map workflows and spot repetitive, manual, or inefficient processes.
- Design, prototype, and implement AI-powered tools and workflows.
- Explore the use of generative AI, large language models, AI agents, and intelligent automation.
- Integrate AI solutions with existing business systems, applications, and data.
- Evaluate third-party AI products and determine whether building, buying, or integrating is the best approach.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and turn successful ideas into reliable solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business challenges into technical solutions.
- Help establish standards around AI security, data privacy, governance, and responsible use.
- Support teams as new tools are introduced and help drive adoption across the business.
